While most animal species are either carnivorous or herbivorous, there is supposedly one animal out there that prefers something else. Chupacabra likes to sneak up and drain its prey of all blood, while leaving the meatier parts virtually intact. They are basically vampiric. Just a few decades ago, handlers and ranchers in Puerto Rico and throughout mainland USA were discovering carcasses of their livestock lying motionless in the fields. Nobody knew what to think, as this gruesome behavior was all brand new. Sightings were of some canine-type creature lurking nearby that seemed to be mostly hairless, either by mange or other unknown reasons. It was very strange because most animals wouldn’t hesitate to gobble down the full contents of its prey. In fact, that’s how the name “Chupacabra” was born. It literally means “goat sucker” in Spanish. Even stranger is that the Puerto Rican variation is thought to be more reptilian and bipedal, while those in America are more likely a subspecies of dog or coyote and quadrupedal. Where did these mysterious monsters come from? Is it a new species yet to be discovered scientifically?
Is there really a blood-sucking creature out there like Chupacabra?
