Hinsdale House sits in the western part of New York and has since it was constructed back in the mid-1850s. This 2-story farmhouse in a rural and woodsy area came into the public eye in the 1970s when the Dandy family reported significant paranormal and demonic experiences on a regular basis. The activity was so intense and dramatic that a well-known priest was called in to exorcise the building and failed miserably. The parents and children then residing in the house were terrified, and it now stands as a major haunted attraction that attracts many visitors to the small town. Many stories persist about what caused such a dark stain over the location, but the full truth or explanation remains elusive today. Common to many ghostly tales, local and native lore reveals that the land once was an ancient burial ground that was disturbed when or before the residence was built on it. Because of this, it’s widely believed that the property became cursed and taken over by dark forces. Many paranormal investigators and experts have examined the place, with conclusions often drawn that there remains a turbulent aura around it. Infamous former owner Clara Dandy even authored a popular book about what her family went through while living there. So what’s really going on at 3830 McMahon Road?
