Is a flying dinosaur still around?

Back in prehistoric times, various creatures were of the flying type, which morphed into birds that we know of today. One such animal was pterosaur, and it’s possible to have adapted and could still exist in remote corners of the world. The island of Papua New Guinea lays claim to what they consider a species of as-yet unclassified cryptids called Ropen.  The name literally translates to “demon flyer”, and this animal is believed to be a part of folklore and mystery in less explored jungles. They are thought to be enormous and avian with its own bright bioluminescence built into the middle of its body. What we do know is that certain nocturnal airborne animals, such as bats, are common in more remote regions. However, eyewitnesses swear that what they are seeing is something totally different. These creatures may be malevolent and scavenge gravesites. Having come onto the scene very recently by crusaders from the Western world by simple observation and utter confusion, it remains unclear exactly what the truth may be. It’s possible to be misidentified large birds or bats, with characteristics exaggerated out of panic or shock. Flying animals are not often associated with having their own internal lights, so what’s really going on? Oceania does have massive areas of dense jungles and unexplored landscapes, and new species of plants and animals are regularly discovered there. Could ancient flyers still manage to survive in today’s world? The proof may still be out there, just waiting to be found.
