Hoia Baciu Forest in Romania takes weird places to frightening new heights. Appropriately referred to as the “Bermuda Triangle of Transylvania”, this remote area of Eastern Europe is a dream spot for nearly every paranormal investigator to add to their international bucket list. As the legend goes, there was once a shepherd who lost over 200 sheep from his flock in this area, himself or the sheep never to be heard from again. Mysterious occurrences are well-documented within these woods, including oddly shaped trees with their trunks growing in a “special” way. It’s very easy to get lost in such a remote dense forest where nothing is what it seems. Ghost sightings and apparitions are extremely common here, but that’s not the strangest aspect that exists. In the center, an innocent-looking circular open field sits with no signs of plant growth at all. This section terrifies even hardened skeptics because of the unexplained phenomena that’s felt and experienced within. Many people have actually been attacked by unseen forces in “The Circle”. It’s been featured on numerous paranormal series around the world. To this day, not a single person or organization has been able to figure out why this one spot remains barren in the middle of a dense forest, even after many inconclusive soil sample tests.
